The Edwardene serves as an excellent base to explore the central and northern Lake District, whether for a relaxing break away from it all, or for discovering the beauty of the mountains, fells and lakes of this outstanding area, with many excellent varied walks from the doorstep.

Found it on trip advisor and booked direct by 'phone. Marie gave us tips on where to eat that evening. Room was not at all 'chintzy', bed was very comfortable and breakfast was suberb. I liked the 1/2 option of full breakfast and the toast and plates were warm. Situated conveniently for Main Street and Lakeside. We have booked for part of the Jazz Festival in May.
