Another Jury’s, but Milton Keynes this time, not Dupont Circle and pretty much more of the same. The staff were friendly & helpful, particularly at reception where our staggered arrival meant leaving bags & hire car keys in their safe keeping for later arrivals. The room was comfortable & functional although the complimentary tray was a bit basic – ordinary teas & coffees and no biscuits and no where near as good as its US counterpart’s coffee machine. The bathroom/shower also proved very capable, although the low bath had a tendency to let shower water on full bore slosh over the sides. I encountered none of the problems reported elsewhere during my stay although if I had a criticism it would be that while individuals behind the bar did their best, as a team they weren’t set up to cope with the conference dinner rush which lead to some lengthy waits – I appreciate a pint of Guinness being allowed to settle but I’d prefer it if the bar staff completed the rest of the order rather than have to rush off to someone else. That said it was all pretty good for a couple of days. I don’t know what rate our conference paid but the whole thing seemed reasonable & I’d be happy to go again.

Great central location. The area is called The Hub. There are 6 or 7 restaraunts in a courtyard behind the hotel and adjacent. For example Gouret Burger Kitchen, All Bar One, Japanese etc. Staff were efficient. The bar area was relaxing and also did speciality coffees. Usually breakfast fare but orange juice came out a machine and was awful. Rooms were nice. No parking.
