Bankfield House Country Hotel and Restaurant details: Originally an 18th century farmhouse, Bankfield House offers a warm and comfortable welcome to all. Set in lovely grounds with log fires in the bar and lounge, the peaceful rural setting offers a perfect base from which to explore the delights of the Western Coast and Lake District. Our restaurant offers a wide selection of local produce freshly prepared, open all day to cater to your needs. Our individually furnished rooms range from a four poster with spa bath and walk in shower, family rooms and a cosy single, all en suite.

Bankfield House has 5 individually furnished bedrooms, a lounge with open fire, a bar also with open fire, and two dining rooms.
The restaurant is open all day for breakfast, morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea, high teas and dinner.
Our larger dining room is suitable for parties, weddings and conferences.

Location

Close to the coast, Bankfield House is a short drive from Silecroft which boasts an award winning beach, horse riding centre and a 9 hole golf course. In the other direction Millom has banks, petrol station, shops or why not visit the Mining Museum, RAF Museum in Haverigg and Hodbarrow nature reserve. Bankfield House is an easy drive from Muncaster Castle and the attractions further up the West Coast or you may choose to head into the Central Lakes where there is plenty to see and do.
