Exclusive daily sailing trips in the hotel’s private yacht are available Monday to Saturday, from April to September.
The hotel offers excursions to the Sound of Sleat, Loch Hourn, Loch Nevis, the Isle of Rhum or Sandaig Island. Lunch on board is included, and the chance to sail in the company of whales, porpoises, seals and otters adds a magical element.

Location

Experience mountains, Celtic mists and legends, heather-clad hills and sparkling lochs. One of the beauties of Skye is that it is an island you can comfortably get right around it in a day.
Dunvegan Castle is located 22 miles west of Portree. It is a picturesque place with wooded gardens. It is said to be the oldest inhabited castle in Scotland today.
Fairy Glen (2 or 3 miles east of Uig) is a series of conical mounds and hillocks divided by steep-sided narrow valleys.
Talisker Distillery and Visitor Centre is set on the shores of Loch Harport with dramatic views of the Cuillins.
The Quiraing is 20 miles north of Portree and features mountains with weird formations of pinnacles and pillars. Old Man of Storr, featured on many postcards, is a stone pinnacle measuring 160 feet.
Mealt Waterfall and Kilt Rock drops 300 feet into the sea. The spot is also a popular viewpoint for the Kilt Rock.

The restaurant is intimate, candlelit and atmospheric with a log fire burning on dark winter nights. Fresh local seafood, lamb, beef and venison all feature on the menus and are accompanied by herbs, salads and vegetables from the Duisdale garden. There is a well-chosen wine list and a fine selection of malt whiskies. Enjoy traditional Skye ale in the Chart Room.
In the afternoons, tea, coffee and cappuccino with homemade scones or traditionally made shortbread are served.
