Location
East Rangá River (50 m) - The river is famous for its salmon and is also a great spot for a walk.
Hella (8 km) – This small town takes its name from the local caves. It is said that Irish monks lived there when Iceland was first settled.
Thorsmörk Preserve (40 km) - This protected national park has stunning scenery, fascinating wildlife and hiking trails.
South Coast (50 km) – Iceland’s south coast has black beaches, spectacular glaciers and amazing waterfalls.
Mount Hekla (50 km) – Iceland’s most active volcano is surrounded by hiking trails so that the area can be explored on foot.
Thjorsadalur Valley (80 km) - One of the attractions here is a replica of a Viking farmhouse.
Reykjavik (96 km) – Iceland’s capital is full of museums, art galleries, shops and restaurants, as well as being the centre of Iceland’s nightlife.

This comfortable 2-floor hotel features 27 cosy guest rooms with modern decor, patterned fabrics and wooden walls, ceilings and floors.The hotel has 21 superior rooms, all with twin beds (which can be placed together upon prior request). All rooms are en suite with a bath and shower (apart from one room suitable for disabled guests which only has a shower).
11 of the rooms have a private balcony and face the riverside and the outdoor hot tubs, and 6 rooms face Mount Hekla and have indoor jacuzzis.
22 new rooms, including 2 master suites will be added in 2007/2008.
