The famous English author Virginia Woolf stayed in Zutphen and as a result in one of her books she gave lots of praise for our historic building.

The restaurant of the Berkhotel, The "Kloostertuin" which means, the "Convent garden", has grown to become one of Holland´s most reputable vegetarian restaurants. Thanks to the wide varieties and quality of vegetarian dishes on offer.

The Berkhotel has been awarded three stars by the Dutch ANWB and trade organizations. To meet this demanding standard all rooms have their own bathroom, shower, toilet, washbasin, television, radio, telephone and sitting area.
Our guest rooms are available in four different categories all of which have been individually decorated.

Since April 07 all our rooms have been renovated with new carpets!

The Kloostertuin Restaurant is a Vegetarian specialty restaurant.

The changing season´s menus, Greek surprises such as a homemade Tiropita tart, served with Risotto and Tomato Cheese sauce.
