This place is a complete dump. For the money, I would have expected much better. The house itself is beautiful poorly maintained. The rooms are cheaply decorated and look like they have been furnished from jumble sales. Our room had no curtains, just FILTHY verticle blinds that did not cover the windows. The bathroom and shower cubicle were decorated like a 1970s brothel. There was no smoke detector or fire alarm anywhere on the top floor where we stayed. The breakfast room was in a dungeon below the stairs. Just as we sat down to breakfast, we heard someone clearing his tubes in the kitchen. It was a disgusting place. I felt cheated and dirty and couldn't wait to leave. What ever you do, don't go there!

This place is as bad as the others are stating, to be avoided at all cost! When I arrived, they immediately asked me for my credit card and credited the full amount for the 5 nights before I realised what was going on. Then I noticed the large signboard on the wall saying that rooms must be paid in advance and that refunds are not possible. I felt dirty and flee-bitten the whole time and I only started enjoying Manchester when I moved to another hotel after 5 horrible nights. Manchester’s ‘Curry Mile” is right at the back of this infamous Victoria Park Hotel and I had some lovely food there!
