My husband and I stayed 2 nights here in March 2005. Was a bit concerned when I read all the bad reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. We checked in at 11.00 a.m.- no problem even though official check in time is 2-. Room had no window but we knew this when booking, air con worked well and the lack of a window meant that the room was super quiet with no outside traffic noises. Room very clean and lots of space, everything worked well. Staff very helpful and courteous no queues at reception desk . Breakfast was included in the bargain room at £55 per night . Superb breakfast, fresh fruit .cereals juices , bacon egg etc. etc. Leisure centre an added bonus and enjoyed 2 lovely swims. As for location you could hardly be more central ,right beside Debenhams and Picadilly Gardens bus depot . Only fault I could find was that the beds are very small, other than that I would recommend this most highly for a good value city centre stay.

Tha place is appauling. Lifts didn't work, internet didn't work properly, room heating stuck on and room like a sauna, staff obviously not trained properly.

It's a nice hotel that gives you what you need with a convenient price. Welcoming staff. Clean rooms. Very central location

fantastic hotel, great location, deserve to be called 4 star instead of 3 star, just 4 minutes walk to manchester picadilly station, i will surely go back there again, but in a room with bigger bed, my only complain was the big noise coming from lift as the lift maintainance went on all night.

What can we say about this Hotel.... Firstly, the lifts are being refurbished so everyone was using the service lift which was slow and often dirty. when coming out of the lift onto each floor, the roommaids forgot to notice the rubbish and dirt on the carpets, plus the smell was terrible. The room itself was good. We stayed on the 5th floor overlooking the bus stops, which, with the window open was quite noisey. The breakfast was ok, nothing to rave over, just the usual English fry Up. But, if you want to laugh, have a carvery meal in the evening. If was horrible. The veg was cold, the food was just lacking in appeal. We left ours, complained to the duty manager and got our money back (which may I add was over ?20). The majority of people staying there where stag and hen parties. quite amusing in the bar with people drunk. We only stayed in this hotel as our usual hotel in Manchester was fully booked and we can say with hand on heart that we would never go back there again. Good luck to anyone staying there in the future and we hope you enjoy your stay more than we did.
