I stayed here for 2 nights in April for a business trip. Hotel was clean, bed very comfortable, bathroom really nice. The room was rather small, but I was staying by myself so didn't mind. Didn't think much of the staff. Well, the majority of them anyway. Pretty unfriendly. Bar good, food good. I was given a room just passed the entrance door from reception and found there was quite a bit noise from passing guests. Location isn't good and it's situated in a rough area of Manchester which I wouldn't advise to walk around by yourself. I always got taxis. My meeting was in the Manc City ground so perfectly located for this, just not quite the city centre. If you are not bothered about location, and it is for a business trip then this hotel is fit for purpose.

I stayed here for one night in February 2008 paying GBP125 for bed and breakfast booking directly through the Priority Club website. The hotel is fairly new so everything still looks in good condition. The bedrooms have been done in a very minimalist style - there isn't a single drawer in which to put stuff. Not a problem for a one night stay but if you were there for longer it may be annoying. Otherwise it was standard Holiday Inn fayre. The bed was comfortable, though my "King size bed" was two singles pushed together with a fitted sheet over the top. I wasn't impressed with that, though it was pretty comfortable, as their beds usually are. The wireless internet connection was intermittent though it was free for me as a welcome gift for priority club members. There were two final issues with this hotel. First is the location, which was fine for my meeting at the City of Manchester stadium but not good for central Manchester. The actual area the hotel is in has no other facilities in the immediate vicinity. Secondly, the price you were expected to pay is too much for what you get.

Stayed at this hotel for a weekend in december 2007 as we were celebrating my daugters 21st birtday and she wanted to spend the weekend in Manchester. Arrived at 1.30 pm (check in time is 2pm ) . The Receptionist was very welcoming and pleasant. despite being early she checked four of us in with the minimum of fuss and wished us a nice stay. The rooms are clean bright and well presented. I would say the hotel has not been open very long as everything seemed "fresh". The only problem we had was with car parking. As the area can have it's "problems" I wanted to keep my car in the car park under the gaze of the camera's however, when we returned from a shopping trip late on saturday afternoon, all available spaces were taken and I had to leave my car on the road outside. The car park simply is not big enough for the hotel. Thankfully we had no problems (probably due to the torrrential rain all night). I would definately stay at the hotel again and the holiday inn website description and photographs were very accurate. I can honestly say there was nothing else that we found that was not to our liking. The bar prices were very reasonable and breakfast was excellent.
