The hotel is approximately 10 miles (16 km) from Manchester Airport. Taxis are readily available from just outside the airport. The journey from the airport should take about 25 minutes. Alternatively, you can take the train. The journey should take about 30 minutes.

The hotel is approximately 37 miles (60 km) from Liverpool John Lennon Airport. Taxis are readily available from just outside the airport. The journey from the airport should take about40 minutes. Alternatively, you can take the train. The journey should take about one hour.

By Car (from the M6 motorway):
- Leave the M6 motorway at the 2nd junction 21a, following the signs for Manchester, Leeds and Bolton.
- Join the M62 which then becomes the M602.
- At junction 3 of the M602, at the roundabout, turn left towards Salford and move into the right-hand lane to turn right at the traffic lights into Liverpool Street.
- The hotel is at the end of Liverpool Street, on the right-hand side.

By Car (from the A56):
- Keep following the brown tourist signs for Granada Studios, until you go past Harry Ramsdens and the casino on the left-hand side.
- At the traffic lights, continue straight on.
- At the next set of traffic lights, turn right (by Sainsbury’s).
- Go past the Texaco petrol station and turn left at the traffic lights.
- The hotel is 100 metres further on, on the left-hand side.

By Car (from the M61 motorway):
- Follow the M61 motorway to the end, then follow the A580 towards Manchester city centre, past Salford University on the left-hand side.
- Carry on to the Old Salford Hospital and turn right at the traffic lights onto Oldfield Road.

Excellent car park security, location handy for Old Trafford/ lcc and the simple efficiency of the place. I booked as the rate was good and staff were helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, the food was lovely expensive, facilities were fine.

Inside the hotel everything was fine all clean tidy and comfortable, the staff - everyone was extremely friendly - cheery hello's from all. The rooms were pleasant, restaurant etc were all top notch.

Holiday Inn Manchester West is a reasonable hotel - once you get there, restaurant are good.

Hard to get to & from train station & city centre, not properly sealed allowed a draft into the room.
