Stayed at the Princess Hotel several times now since it changed hands. Very comfortable rooms..especially the beds. Noise from the road outside can be a problem if you are not used to it. Great location..very close to Chinatown, and not far from the shops and theatre. Fantastic breakfasts.....best I've had in a hotel in a long time.

This hotel was reccomended to me by friends who have stayed here before and i wasn't dissapointed. I arrived Friday Evening for 2 nights and i have to say all the staff were brilliant, really friendly and nothing was too much trouble...I booked a single room but got a double which was great and the guy on reception..Andy i think made me a reservation in a restaurant arranged my taxi and got me a pass into one of the nightclubs for me & my friends. I ordered room service on the Saturday and it was brought really quickly and the food was really impressive. Check out was fast & effiecient even with a queue the staff had everything fully under control and nobody waited longer than 5 minutes...I was made to feel really welcome and in this day and age when we are treat as a number more & more this was a really nice feeling. I have no quarms about reccomending this hotel.

a really pleasant stay

After reading a few reviews of this property i was confused, some say brilliant some not...I rang the hotel directly and decided to make my booking after talking with the really pleasant receptionist. When i arrived i was met by a very proffesional and friendly receptionist again and they upgraded me to an executive room without me even asking!! (because they had the room available) My room was on the 5th floor, i had a great view and although there is slight traffic noise it didnt bother me at all, that must be expected in a city centre property. My room was very clean as was the rest of the hotel..The highlight of my stay was my breakfast, all fresh & cooked perfectly, I had poached eggs and they were delicious.. I would certainly reccomend this hotel, I have stayed at a few in Manchester and by far this is the best.. I was told the hotel is undergoing major refurbishment this year to a 4* level so as long as I can afford it i will definately stay again.
