Brilliant location and the best service you expect from a 4 star hotel. The facade is splendid and cordial staff :-) The lobby is large and modernly decorated like the rooms. I had heard that the breakfast is the best in the north west before I go so it was :-) Large rooms offer many places to walk and clean bathrooms. My first trip to Manchester was very lovely so I am thinking to go back as soon as.

Hotel was fine for a one night stay. The room was as I would expect from a 4*, clean and well appointed - but the warren of corridors that led to the room had a damp/musty atmosphere, and looked very tired and in need of renovation. Staff were very friendly/helpful and extremely apologetic when my promised newspaper wasn't delivered. Breakfast was the star item though ....one of the best I have had in a very long time ..

Central location. Nice lobby area and bedroom was large - it had a number of steep steps from the bedroom door to the actually room which wouldnt have been good for older people or those with a disability. No safe in the room even though this was advertised as part of the deal. Breakfast were ok but the service was possibly the worst i have ever experienced. Staff didnt have enough english to understand you, they also were very unhelpful, slow and lazy (it took ages for them to clear tables and they didnt properly set the table for service) Couldnt get us a taxi when we were leaving and they seemed reluctant to help. Not a enjoyable stay
