I am very impressed by this hotel.
The location could not be better - across the road from Manchester Piccadilly and up the road from the shopping area.
It is a light, airy, clean, fresh hotel with great attention to detail (lots of milk in the fridges, power shower, bathrobes, a light that automatically comes on in the wardrobe).
I saw lots of staff at all times, and I only had to look up and someone was enquiring as to how they could help me.
I loved the photos of rock stars on the walls, and the soft music seemed to be just my taste (Massive Attack, Air etc). Fabulous floral arrangement of lillies in the foyer.
Breakfast was very comprehensive and good value. From exotic fruit to salmon bagels to full English to American-style breakfasts. Something for everyone, freshly cooked within a few minutes.
A bargain at ?109 per night for a city centre hotel.

I travel a bit on business. This trip was however 'pleasure'. Having stayed at various Manchester Hotels before and I really would give this one top marks. good location and really clean. The hotel is new, and I hope that management make the effort to keep decor so clean and fresh as it would be sad to see the hotel sink down to the low standards of many others.
Bar staff are chatty, and the concierge can't do enough for you. Breakfast staff were a littly 'snooty' but maybe they were havong an off day. We enjoyed excellent value for money so could cope with being 'told off ' for arriving bang on time for the breakfast closing time - it was pure error as breakfast at weekends it appears is later than on weekdays....check with the hotel when you check in.
Food is fab, and it is great to have the room well apoointed - and decent sized bath towels that aren't crunchy from being washed over and over.....
