Stayed here for the weekend with my partner and enjoyed our stay. Only a 3 star hotel but the room was large, modern and clean, no air con but not a problem for us. Great leisure facilities, although this did not appear to have been cleaned during our stay, items left in steam room and surrounding seating which was there all weekend. Restaurant was a bit hit and miss, I enjoyed the food but my partner was a little dissapointed with her choice both nights, it will not win any awards, but was to a reasonable standard, staff were very attentive , although at times they appeared to be overworked. Booked direct with the hotel and was very good value for money. I would recommend this hotel, but be aware it is only 3 star but this was reflected in the price.

First impressions were very good. Hotel is set in beautful grounds. Checked in quickly and staff were pleasant. No free Wifi even in lounge bar. Connectivity was ?10. What a complete rip off! Finding the room was difficult as the hotel has a confusing layout. Was told to take lift to second floor but then had to descend steps to an intermediate level not served by lift. Long walk from the lift so beware if you have mobility issues. When I opened the room I was hit by a blast of superheated air. This was the a problem that didn't go away even when I left the windows wide open all evening and night. It was a warm sunny day outside but even so the heat was excessive. Fortunately the room is not overlooked so I could leave curtains open to allow air to circulate. Room was tiny with only inches of space to edge around the bed. A step under the window which was disguised with same carpeting as floor proved to be a nuisance in taking up floor space and I stubbed my toe several times when trying to get to the window to gasp some air. Bathroom was clean and facilites in the room were what you would expect to have and the bed was comfortable. Gym was quite nice and pool lovely. Changing rooms fairly clean. When I collected my room card at the end of the session was given someone else's gym membership card and later when I came to check out of the hotel was given some else's hotel bill. Staff a little dizzy. I went to breakfast quite late but a good choice of items on the hot and cold buffet was still available. Food was ok but nothing special. Overall a mixed bag but not the worst place I've ever stayed.
