We found The Fevery by walking around (in a part of town the official information people told us was very quiet - and it was).
We thought the hotel was a great value:
- very clean room
- full and modern bathroom in the room
- elevator takes you most of the way (still had 1/2 flight to navigate)
- parking in a secure gated area off the street
- breakfast was great; boiled-to-order eggs were a treat
- helpful travel advice, and a discount card for the museums
- a computer our son could use to browse for the first time on our trip
- close enough to walk to restaurants
- ground floor sitting room to read and relax in
- all we heard from the street were birds and church bells
- We didn't buy tea, etc. in the sitting room, though we could have.
Paul really gave us a lot of travel and sightseeing tips; he went out of his way to be helpful and was always curteous.
Meal tip: we really liked the Pita Huis. The felafel came with 6 great dipping sauces.
( By the way, every double bed we encountered in Europe was two twins pushed together. This was true in Belgium, Netherlands and Germany. I think only the residents buy the full mattresses. )
This was one of the top-3 pleasant stays on our trip.

The owner of the Hotel Fevery in Brugge made our stay even more wonderful than we anticiapated. It began when Paul (owner of the hotel) when he drove to the center of town and personally led us to the hotel. We rented a car and could not locate his hotel as our GPS was not working well in Belgium. We called him when we were about an hour away and he told us to meet us in the middle of town. It was 11:00 at night.
The hotel is about five minutes walk to the center of town and the breakfast was great. Great place to stay in Brugge paul@hotelfevery.be
