We visited MacDonalds Elmers COurt as a timeshare exchange adn had a lovely cottage , 2BR. Very spacious, clean and near the manor house. Accommodations were great and had everything one needs for a timeshare stay. Nice location in the New FOrest. Friendly and helpful staff. About a 2 hour drive from Gatwick.. train and boat service nearby... Isle of Wight a must... would stay again in a heartbeat.... we really enjoyed the resort. Food good, pretty grounds, nice accommodations.

We had vouchers for this hotel, so didnt choose it as such. We arrived in the rain, and got soaked walking to our room. I had rung in advance and been told there was a bike park where we could secure our bikes, but when we got there, it was a metal rack, on the path through where everyone walks, and we werent comfortable leaving our ?300 bikes there so we ended up dragging them up a flight of stairs and leaving them outside our room. The room was ok, very tired, and the bed was very uncomfortable! The pool area was nice, and the breakfast was outstanding! Unfortunately they were doing building works underneath our room which started at 8.30am and went on till 5pm which consisted of drilling, sawing, hammereing etc. We were out most of the day, but were not impressed when we wanted a lie in friday morning! I was told when we checked out that all the blocks are timeshare except the one block of 4 apartments we stayed in which is why they couldnt move us. the general manager is supposed to be calling us..... still waiting....... Overall a good lcoation but i wouldnt be happy to pay much over ?80 a night, as the accomodation doesnt live up to expectations.
