Originally known as Can Dr. Cuadras after its rich owner from the former colonies, the building was originally a family home filled with precious South American artefacts. When the building was converted into a hotel many of these unique original features were carefully preserved, including the ornate plaster ceiling, tiled floors, and wrought iron bars and banisters. The rooms too retain many individual period features. More modern facilities include an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by a sun terrace and gardens.
