My husband and I stayed here back in the middle of February for 9 nights. We were both a little nervous as to what kind of hotel we were going to be staying because of some of the reviews on here. We kind of had a feeling that the bad reviews were just from winey people who like to complain and have things absolutely perfect. Anyway, we both loved the hotel. Sure, the rooms are smaller than hotels in America, but I would not say they were too small. There was enough room for our 2 big suitcases and for us to walk around. Check in and check out both went smoothly and quickly. As for the continental breakfast, we only made it up once. It was fine. It was free. If you don?t like it then go somewhere else instead of complaining that it wasn?t up to your standards. The location is very nice. It is situated in between Earl?s Court tube station and Gloucester rd tube station. We tended to use Gloucester Rd more often. Sainsbury?s grocery store is nearly next to the hotel, very convenient. There is a good amount of restaurants and pubs within walking distance. We did not have a problem with the service we received. I do believe the reviewers who said they had something tacked onto their bill, but I am glad this did not happen to us. We did not have a problem with sound. The room next to us was adjoining, but we brought a fan with us because we like to sleep with one and ran it pretty much the whenever we were in the room and if I wouldn?t have seen the people from the room next to us I would have thought it was vacant. The beds were also comfortable and we slept well. Some people here say that no one is ever in the bar/lounge. There was always a couple people in the bar area at all times in the afternoon/evening. There is Boddington?s and Stella Artois on tap which was enough for us. For a hotel bar the prices were not too bad. Bottom line the hotel was nice, clean, the beds were comfortable we had no troubles with staff and we will probably stay here again next time we are in London. Oh yeah and if you have to make a local call it is much cheaper at a pay phone on the street.
