2.4I travel to London frequently. Consequently I accept the fact (and encourage others to accept the fact) that hotels are smaller and more expensive than in the US and service is not uniformly a priority amongst staff. (Some of the staff at this hotel were excellent and very helpful, others were less so. No one was rude or obnoxious, they just missed opportunities to go the extra mile.) The Best Western Paddington is no exception. The water pressure was very low. The hot water didn't work on some days. There was no refrigerator in the room. (Comes in handy when you want to store juice, wine, cheese and prosciutto.) Having said that, the hotel is conveniently located, there are good restaurants within a very short walk, you can easily access most parts of the city by bus, tube or british rail AND for these reasons, I would stay there again.
