Stayed with a friend at the Cavendish for two nights in April.
Fantastic hotel, very modern in decor, with a great location just off Picadilly Circus. Great for getting around London.
The hotel was lovely, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms (not so sure about the glass door to the bathroom though!). Loads of facilities in the bedroom - tv, cd player, iron & board, minibar and the only hospitality tray I've ever come across that included a teapot and wine glasses.
The reception staff and concierge were exceedingly helpful and could not do enough for you.
Breakfast was great with plenty of choice of hot and cold food although there was a wait for a table on Saturday morning - but only had to wait 5 minutes.
Also tried the pre-theatre dinner one night which was a bargain at ?15 for two courses and the food was excellent.
Would stay at this hotel again and would personally recommend it to my friends.
The Hotel is priced at below corporate hotel standards but was friendly and acceptable. We arrived by train and were going to the theatre. We were able to walk everywhere quite easily and safely
I travelled with a group of four friends for a few days break in London. Most of us are frequent short-stay visitors to the city so between us we have a lot of experience of smaller/budget hotels. We stayed in two rooms on the third floor; 1 double room and 1 triple room. If we had to point out small issues then we would mention the small bathrooms and the lack of three beds in a triple room (1 double bed and 1 fold out sofa). That aside, We all agreed that the service and the rooms were great when we considered the cheap cost. We will definately try to book the same hotel on our next visit.
