2Sheraton Park Tower is extremely overrated. Frankly I find it quite ridiculous that it's part of the Starwood Luxury Collection. I've spent 2 weeks at this hotel and there was absolutely no luxury in accomodation nor service what so ever. For the rate of ?400/ night and for 2 weeks I expect superior service and accomodation. Anyone willing to pay this rate should seriously consider staying at the Four Seasons or The Dorchester.
Having said that, the rooms were decent and well furnished. The beds were comfortable, and the windows were large letting in plenty of light in additition to a partial view of the Hyde Park . The bathrooms were dated and in need of new fittings, the sink drain and shower heads need to be replaced. The room service was mediocre at best and the food at the restaurants was disappointing. The staff were unattentive and frustrating, and there was practically no lobby, so to speak.
I can understand this kind of service and overall experience from a lower class hotel but definitely not a Luxury Collection hotel. The best thing going for the Sheraton Park Tower is its location, and it proximity to Harrods and the Hyde Park.
