We needed a inexpensive hotel close to our sons flat and this was the only one I could find. I wasn't expecting much and was very pleasantly suprised on arrival. The gentleman on reception was exceedingly helpful. The bedrooms (twins) and ensuites were very clean and nicely decorated, controlable heating, windows that opened, tea/coffee hair dryer etc available. It was noisy at night as it is on a main road and police cars seemed to go past regularly with their sirens going, however we got plenty sleep. I believe a continental breakfast can be provided in your room but we went to 'Brew' just over the road and had a sumptious breakfast. The hotel is very close to Clapham Common and the tube. We would happily stay there again.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights at end of Nov beginning of dec 07. The rooms were small but it was very clean and we could not complain. the gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful and it was in the perfect location for us. The tube was a 2 min walk from the hotel and everything was accessible from here. We had a pleasant stay there and would have no hesitation recommending it to anyone staying in London. We previously stayed at 2 other hotels in London that left a lot to be desired. The rooms in the Gateway were well kept and reasonably priced.
