4.4It was my third stay in London, but the first one in the very center of the city (the other ones were near Paddington). So the first big and nice surprise was the small price of a 4* hotel, near Regent & Oxford Street. It seems that I catch a discount period in August. Quite strange but I'm glad for it. Everything was perfect with 2 exceptions: (a) taking a sort of a cash deposit at the beginning of your staying (after paying all the nights) - on what purpose? I don't understand. Everything addditional you had to pay (breakfast, lunch, dinner, taxi to the airport a.s.o.) - so why this deposit?! I didn't pay it... (b) we stayed for 5 nights. On the first one we realised that no one of the two bed lamps wasn't working. So the second day we announced the problem at the reception. Nothing happened. On the third day we asked again - this time during the day. Someone came but the problem didn't solve. We announced again - the fourth day - that we don't have lights in the room during the night. When we returned at the hotel that evening, one of the bed lamps was working !!! We considered it a victory and remained silent for the last day of our holliday...
