above and beyondPosted: Tue, Aug 22 2006stayed at the Baglioni for three days after a Baltic cruise on the Crystal serenity. both my wife and I felt the service at the hotel is what the luxury cruise should have been. we stayed in a Jr suite which was more of a little apartment, with a bedroom, living room and bathroom down our private hall. the decor was ultra modern, which we love. as with all of London prices, the cost was outrageous, but if you can afford it, well worth the expense. the concierge help us on numerous times. one example of the service: we were going down the "lift' with a bellboy, i realized we didn't bring the umbrella. I asked my wife it I should go back and get it. she said, naw, it's mostly sunny out. as we were waiting for them to hail us a taxi, the bell boy comes running out with a travel umbrella- just in case. we have stayed in some of the best hotels around the world, I would put this right among the top.
