  • However, all of the staff without exception in The Langham are polite, friendly and attentive without being too invasive. The thing that impressed me most was how friendly they were to the children and generally how child friendly it was for a 5 star hotel (which is not always the norm). The facilities were excellent and my boys said it was the most comfortable bed they have ever slept in and I have to agree. You do have to pay extra to use the spa and pool facilities but you get complimentary Elizabeth Arden skin products to use in the price. The location is excellent and there are lots of really good cafes and restaurants near by.. Read review

  • I had wanted to book a short trip to London for the weekend at the last minute, and I was really shocked at the prices for hotels in London. I had heard that London was expensive, but I didn't realize how expensive it could be until I saw what most rooms were going for. It was among the lowest in price for that category of hotel that I could find, and it seemed to be pretty decent and well located. The location is great, especially for a shopaholic like me, and not very far to walk to get to the West End and Picadilly Circus. For example, on the day that I arrived, the lovely woman working the reception informed me that their computer system was down, so they had to do all of the check-ins manually. Furthermore, when I went to my room, I discovered that they had given me a room with 2 beds, while I had requested for a King-size bed when I made the reservation. I called the reception, and almost immediately someone came to bring me a new key and escorted me to a new room. All of the staff, including room service, bell staff and housekeeping, were courteous and friendly (such a welcome change from the cold service I have come to expect in Paris where I live). The room was immaculately clean and the bed was very comfortable.. Read review
