We have just returned from a three night stay at this lovely hotel. Not only were the views perfect - alongside the River Dee - the bedrooms and other areas were spotlessly clean. All managed professionally and efficiently by the friendly staff (who were also the owners). The hotel is a credit to them all. The food served for breakfast and dinner was delicious and the presentation was excellent. We would certainly book another break at this hotel.

We have just returned home after spending two nights at this family run hotel. We enjoyed our stay very much. We booked on line and had a very good mid- week rate. Although the room was only a standard double it was lovely and had views over the River Dee. As previously stated it was spotless. It did get a bit hot at times but there was a ceiling fan and an air conditioner in the room. There is a large verandah with plenty of seating overlooking the river which looked very inviting, but unfortunately the weather was not good enough to enjoy sitting there. The hotel also has fishing rights. We ate in the restaurant the first evening and in the bar on the second night. Both meals were good, well presented, hot and reasonably priced. Breakfast was extremely good as it was cooked to order and there were not the usual "plastic" eggs that are served from the breakfast buffet at most hotels. Staff were pleasant and very helpful at all times. LLangollen is a good place to stay. There are lots of attractions nearby including the Llangollen canal where you can take a boat ride along the aquaduct, historic Chester and not too far away the magnificent Powis castle.
