First, and last, time we stay here. The manager/owner just couldn't care less. We waited 40 mins just for a sandwich because he was on the telephone in the bar area, in full view of guests (the few that there were). Another couple waited an hour for a meal. Our room was clean, though the bin needed emptying, the en-suite was full of cracked tiles, but clean. There is a train line to the back and a main road to the front, both very busy, so there is noise all the time, it's impossible to leave a window open. Although the young staff are nice and friendly, and do their best, it's a joke. The best thing about this place is the road away from it.

Over the past 2 years, i've been a frequent visitor, and it's been a great hotel to stop at But 2 months ago, new owners came in, put the price up £6, and started cutting back. So much so, that now the breakfast is £7.50 extra, or you can have a free 'what they call continental breakfast', which is actually a bowl of cereal, and jam on toast. I am now moving my accomodation due to poor value for money, and i have also found the manageress rude, although the lad who serves you is very helpful and polite Maybe it will come back to what is was, but for now, i'm giving it a wide berth.
