The outside of the building looked far from fetching, parts of the outside were literally crumbling, but we had a very satisactory stay. We were happy with the bed, upholstery and general state and design of the room, but the heat was on high and could not be turned down (even after someone 'had seen to it') and the drainage of the shower was "slow". Still, we think we got value for money at 60 pounds a night, got a very decent English breakfast from very friendly staff, who were also helpful and generous during bar service.

Just back from a weekend at the Stade Court in Hythe, and have to say what a charming place it is. Very cold and windy outside but beautiful blue skies made this seaside hotel the perfect location for a couple of chill out days. Booked through laterooms.com and got a cheaper deal than through direct Best Western website - 90 pounds for the room for 2 nights, including breakfast! The room was so quaint- with a set of stairs leading from the bedroom to the bathroom and lounge which has a spectacular view. The decor is straight out of 'Fawlty Towers' but clean and tidy. Only thing to note was that the windows were dirty- not surprising as the hotel is right next to the sea, but a shame nonetheless. Can only add what others have said about the staff and the service- extremely helpful and very personable. Thank you to the lovely lady who made us sandwiches because we arrived too late for dinner. The breakfast was very very good, cooked to order. The fish restaurant across the road looks good though we didnt get to eat there we spoke to other people staying at the hotel who would recommend it. There is a pub nearby which also serves food, and the town is only a short walk away. Also lovely walks along the promenade of this very unspoilt little town- beware though that it seems to go to sleep after 9 pm So charmed by this hotel we are planning to go back, maybe as soon as next easter, thats if we get such a good deal again. highly recommended
