We got here fairly late in the evening in mid-January but there were still plenty of car parking spaces. Check in is located one floor up from the ground so you need to take the lift. The hotel is not exactly in the centre of town and we couldn't be bothered walking as it was raining so decided to eat in. We had a two decent pizzas along with a bottle of red and a bottle of beer for less than 20 pounds which was great. We've stayed at many ibis and the rooms here were actually quite good-fairly modern and the bathroom particularly so. We didn't hear the railway announcements that previous reviews mention (but it was a Sunday night). We decided to have breakfast at the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it (although there seemed to be very few other guests). Staff were very efficient and we loved the layout of the bar/breakfast room (lots of corners and plenty of glass windows to see out). Obviously this hotel is aimed at the business traveller but our Sunday night stay and the room were faultless.

My wife and I stayed at the Ibis Leicester two nights in October. The location was great - short walk from the train station. Check in is up a flight of stairs. Nice modern look to the hotel. The room - small. Interesting bathroom - it was a quarter circle shape - did manage to make the room seem larger. Had the basic amenities needed for an overnight stay. We were using it as a base for travel so no need to stay long in the room. The bed was a bit "thin" and a bit hard. Hotel is on a major road in town so there's a bit of traffic noise, but nothing you wouldn't expect from a hotel in the city. Walking distance to all downtown attractions/markets. Morning breakfast not included - looking back it wasn't worth the money - plenty of coffee shops and restaurants a few blocks away offering lower cost options. If you're looking for a simple place to rest your head that is close to the train station - a worthy choice.
