We really loved our stay at the Meier City hotel. Very nice triple room and a really terrific breakfast ( I appreciated the wide variety of fresh fruit!). But what made this hotel just about perfect, was the location. Right on a nice little pedestrian only mall, 2 minutes walk from the train station, next door to an internet cafe and 10 minutes walk to Marienplatz! I really can't think of any better location (none of the sex shops on our street, nice shops only). Loved it!!

I've stayed here twice and consider this one of the best run, modestly priced hotels I've stayed at anywhere. The breakfast is excellent and included in the price of the room (a pleasant contrast from one hotel in Geneva I stayed at that charged an extra $36 for breakfast!). Location is perfect, on a pedestrian mall very close to the main train station and a short walk from most of the popular tourist destinations. Rooms are clean and quiet, staff are friendly and knowledgeable. For the price, you won't do better anywhere.
