The hotel's rooms are very small and are 3 star standard, and for the price they charge is taking the michael - this is not 'the best luxury hotel in the hiighlands'..see their web site...we have been to better. The Bistro's food was poor, and again over priced. Breakfasts took an age to arrive even tho there were only 8 guests and two serving. Tables were left with empty plates on them and staff attitde from reception to restaurant complacent. This hotel and its restaurants need to be reinspected - their web site is misleading.

We stayed here for one night, the only room they had available was the deluxe double with a riverside view. The hotel website gives the impression it is a boutique, contemporary hotel. Our room was not decorated in this way, we found it out of date, with a very small bed. The room felt cluttered with an old fashioned TV and CD player and ironing board out in the room. In fairness the bathroom was huge with a seperate bath and shower cubicle and plenty of space. It was also modern in decore. For ?160 per night we felt that the bedroom should have been better quality. We found the breakfast average, with the service beng very slow, and the bread for toast poor quality. Check out was slow. The evening before we had eaten in Abstract the restaurant in the hotel. I found the food and service absolutely excellent, although my other half wasn't keen on his main course (he picked the wrong thing for him!) and I would definitely eat there again. However we would not stay at the hotel again, definitely not value for money.
