I stayed for a weekend night at the Briar Court. Got an unbelievable last minute rate of 30 quid B&B. This hotel is close to J24 of the M62 but far enough away to be quiet at night. There is an Italian Restaurant next door which was busy. I had room service from the Italian and it was OK, but nothing remarkable.
The room was clean and modern although not huge. Wireless internet is available at a fee. Breakfast is decent with a large selection. There is also a bar area.
This hotel looks priced to compete with the Travelodges, Premier Inn's etc and is a better choice at the price.

3 of us stayed here between Christmas & New Year. We normally booked the nearby Premier Travel Inn but on checking the prices, both were the same at ?55 a night, but the Briar Court included full cooked breakfast. No argument there then.
We arrived a bit early and were allowed to check in as the rooms were ready. The rooms were clean and typical size for this sort of hotel, ie, not massive, but certainly not too small.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful and made our stay very pleasant.
The cooked breakfast was plentiful with lots too choose from and the Italian restaurant attached to the hotel is excellent and obviously very popular with the locals.
We are travelling to Huddersfield again very soon and have already booked the Briar Court again. It is very handy for the motorway, though far enough that you don't get the noise (like the Premier Travel Inn does).
Can't recommend it highly enough
