The White Horse Hotel situated on the outskirts of Darlington is a charming and delightful establishment.
Close to the North Yorkshire Moors, Dales, Beamish Open Air Museum and the historic city of Durham. The hotel has 40 comfortable en suite bedrooms which are decorated to a high standard. Staff are helpful and friendly, and the hotel combines traditional comfort with modern convenience.
Although the hotel has no bar or restaurant facilities at the moment, there will be a pub and restaurant opening on-site later in the year. The facilities in the bedrooms remain unchanged and a limited choice of drinks and snacks are available in reception.

This hotel will be great once it's updated. it was a bit like a time-warp, but was clean and the rooms were large. the price we paid was amazing value, but to say there was a bar was a little bit liberal as it was three fridges next to the reception desk! overall it was a good budget hotel for people just using it as a crash pad.

A basic budget hotel.
The room was clean, tidy and comfortable if basic. Although there is no longer a restaurant at the hotel there is plenty of information about where you can eat and crockery and cutlery can be provided if you chose to bring in a take away and snacks and drinks are available in reception.
All in all, nicer than a Travel Lodge / Travel Inn.
