Stayed with the hotel when traveling on business. Found the food mixed, with the staff very receptive. The owner's leave a lot to be desired, their sharp attitude and short manner are appalling!!!. If you want somewhere with average food, good hired staff (who are paid to be nice to you!!) then stay here. If however you want somewhere decent and warm, inviting look elsewhere.

Very helpful staff, great food, good location.
15 min walk into Castle Douglas.
Room clean and tidy, fittings could do with a bit of maintainance.
But at ?75 per nt with 3 course meal for 2 and breakfast what more could you ask.
