We (family of three) enjoyed our stay at the Southern; the room was fine, especially the free wireless connection and the ample breakfast. Sally is the best thing about the hotel: ask her a question and she'll give you an honest answer. "Should we visit Ipswich?" "No." Just like that. In the downstairs lounge area, guests gather in the evening for drinks, TV, and very entertaining conversation.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Southern Hotel. Room was very good. Staff friendly & helpfull. The hotel is well looked after & Clean. I would definitely stay here again.
