Glasgow is a confusing city for car travel from a United States view, but the hotel is nicely located in the center of town and seemed safe. The hotel was clean, good showers, good bed, and moderately luxurious.

Didn't know what to expect from this hotel, but was pleasantly surprised. For some reason we were given an executive suite room for the regular price. 2 big double beds, a couch, table, a nice size bathroom. The room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The hotel was fairly centrally located to wherever we needed to be. I have no complaints about this hotel.

The Thistle was one of the worst hotels in which I have stayed. The bathroom was filthy. The bed was uncomfortable, the room was hot and the food was poor. I would never consider staying there. It has either changed since your other reviews have been written or the reviews are written by employees or owners.

Do Not Stay In Room 215!!!!!!!!!

7 of us booked into this hotel for a hen weekend. We were given two rooms which we were very happy with. Checkin went fine & we had an ok meal in the bar. Our bar man James was very attentive & friendly. Everything was going great until 6am on our 1st morning. 4 of us stayed in room 215 & were woken at this time by very loud music. We complaines 1st of all to reception they said they didnt know where it was coming from & would investigate. They said they had other complaints as well. 1HR later this still was going on! Eventually a manager came up & said he would investigate & sent us up breakfast via room service. It arrived & was freezing!!! The staff that brought up the breakfast knocked over the glasses on our table & smashed them then assured up they would be cleaned by housekeepers this never happened. Then a Further manager Lazarus came up around 7.45 to tell us that it was the music from the Gym & he would see it was turned off immediately. He assured us that although it came on on timer it would DEFINATELY not be coming on again. He gve us a meal in the restaurant which at the time we were happy enough with. But low & behold the same think happened the next morning!!!! It ruined our whole holiday as we were exhausted & unable to do the things we wanted to. When we rang reception they said it couldnt be the Gym as it didnt open til 8. We then saw Lazarus again who apologised & said we would get a full refund. On checking out this was found not to be the case. He offered us 50% but we told him we were not prepared to accept this & that he went back on his word. He went back & forward & came back eventually saying to us that he could only give us 20% & waive our room service bill. He claimed that when we arrived we ordered ?69 worth of drinks which were charged to our room. This was not the case we paid for anything we got when we got it. He claimed we got a bottle of Vodka which we didnt but he could not provide us with a signed reciept for getting this. After 2 hrs & alot of arguing we only got 20% back. We felt this was a disgrace as we were lied to & made out to be thiefs. I would not recommend any1 to stay in this hotel due to the unproffesional behaviour of management.
