Well I stayed at the Glasgow Marriott last week and let me tell you, so lovely!
Came to check in and was greeted by lovely friendly smiling receptionists, who checked me in and made sure that I knew everything there is to know about glasgow! They provided me with information about the best places to visit for dinner and were not wrong! believe me!
I then proceded up to my room where there was a lovely big giant huge comfy bed waiting for me! I just wanted to dive into it when i seen it!
The room generally was very clean, well looked after but could use a little re decoration when it comes to furnature.
The lobby, and corriders were very clean and tidy and they were also obviously well looked after.
I would definately recommend this hotel to ANYONE coming to glasgow! the rooms are a decent size, actually have air con and it is like a 5 minute walk into the shopping part!
Just stay here!

Our son & new daughter-in-law were recently married in Glasgow & had their reception here. We stayed for 3 nights & other family & friends also stayed here.
The wedding reception was excellent, was very slick & organised & went very smoothly & the events manager (Sian??) did a great job. The staff were excellent. The wedding dinner was very nice especially considering they were catering for about 100 people. No complaints at all from our point of view.
For the hotel in general the staff were excellent, very pleasant & attentive & were always helpful - with a smile. One waiter took a shine to my wife by plying her with hot lemon/honey drinks (no charge) to help her get through a sore throat & flu.
Buffet breakfast good. Good choice & nicely presented. Staff very helpful.
Room nice although slightly smaller than expected & well appointed. Very comfortable kingsize bed - & I mean a kingsize bed & not 2 smaller beds pushed together as is quite often the case.
My only 2 gripes were:
1. The rooms (ours & others in our party) were too warm. The window only opened about 3 inches & then it was too noisy (traffic from nearby motorway) to leave open overnight. No air con. The heating/ventilation fan just blew the air around & was too noisy to leave on overnight. Not perfect but we managed to cope OK.
2. The prices in the bar were very expensive.
Hotel located about 15 minutes walk from Argyle Street shopping & restaurants area. It also has a decent sized car park.
