We love Antica Dimora Firenze and its sister properties! Small, stylish and located off the beaten tourist path, it is perfect for independent travelers who want to stay in a unique place that feels like an Italian home rather than a generic hotel. When you check in you are given the keys to the front door, to the hotel entrance on the second floor and to your room, and from there you can come and go as you please. There is no concierge at night, so the place feels more like a private apartment than a hotel. Come morning, the staff puts out a lovely breakfast buffet which you can enjoy at your leisure -- no showing your room key to "prove" that you are staying there, etc. Our room had a four-poster bed, a roomy and beautiful bathroom and a tiny balcony. I cannot recommend this place enough to independent travelers. Demanding, whiny people who need to be waited on hand and foot need not apply.

My daughter was injured and the hotel was so helpful. They called our car service, let us stay in our room even though we had checked out. They just went above and beyond to help us. The room was clean and comfortable and very spacious. It was centrally located too. I would highly recommend the hotel.
