4 of us went for 10 days to the Normandy region to celebrate the 60th anniversary of D-day. We couldn't find a hotel any closer so chose Lisieux. It was the best decision we could have made, the town was beautiful and the people friendly (not many English speakers but we never had a problem). The hotel is right in the centre of town with all the shops and bars within a 2 minute walk. The hotel itself was great, very reasonably priced and absolutely spotless. The staff were always welcoming, friendly and helpful with an excellent breakfast with lovely fresh bread etc. Also they were linked to a local restaurant (La France) which was stunning with excellent food and wine at a fair price - £120 for 3 course meal for 4 including 2 bottles of wine. We couldn't have found a better hotel, it helped make our holiday unforgettable for all the right reasons!
