Grand Continental Hotel Melaka - Melaka, Malaysia     

when to melaka with my girlfriend in the middle of may and stay at Grand Continental. We need to wait for a while during check in cos its a holiday but only 1 lady receptionist and 1 supervisor or manager(get to know cos not in uniform) on duty. However they are still smiling and never forget to say thank you. We got a room about 3pm, our room is with one queen bed and just nice for 2 person. The air-cond is centralize but its not strong enough. We thought of taking a shower before going out but there was no towel in the room and coffee & tea provided but no cattle in room. Called the reception they inform that they haven't get towels from the laundry supplier and will send only after 7PM!!!! that means we cant take shower b4 7pm??? oh yeah, they said will inform the housekeeping to send a cattle for us. No point making so much of noise, we went out for our shopping and food exploring. we came back to the hotel about 9pm. the towels and cattle is still not in the room. Need to call the reception again to ask for it. after 15 minutes the housekeeping send us the towel but no cattle. We waited till the next morning but the cattle............. not even the shadow. However the staffs here is very friendly especially the receptionist. Management need more effort to improve the hotel facilities and amenities from as basic as bath towel to ensure future business

Went there with family members of 7 in two cars. There were not enough parking space at the hotel and we are worried to park outside the hotel area as it is quite dimly lit and may be unsafe. We spend quite sometime waiting for others to move out and did not travel out much in our cars, worried that we will not be able to find empty parking lots when we returned. It was to be a care free weekend mini break with my family.
