This was the second time we have stayed at this hotel and we found it even better than we had remembered. We had a large familly room on half board basis which we booked direct with the hotel. Room was clean and spacious, the staff extremely helpful and the grounds of the hotel beautiful. The swimming pools are perfect and we never had problems getting sun loungers, it seemed very quiet (despite being school holidays). The entertainment is mostly not good, but we swapped our dinner for lunch most days and ate out in the evening(fortunately missing the animation teams shows!)However, unless you are under 20 it may be worth giving the resort of Malia a wide berth, Sissi and Stalis are much nicer and more family friendly. We shall be returning next year, the Cretan Malia park is one of the best hotels we have stayed in

This Hotel is perfect for a quiet Beach/Pool holiday. The gardens are beautiful and our ground floor garden view room was very comfortable, I found the air conditioning to be functioning well in our room for the June temperatures. Both pools were very clean and well maintained, I liked the lazy river as it was good for a long peacfull swim. The beach was good with one nice sandy access into good swimming shelving gently into deeper water. The food was good with a large choice available which we enjoyed for our half board weeks stay. We ate in the restaurant for lunch once, it was also very good but potrions too big if you eat well at breakfast and dinner! We didn't stay in the Hotel in the evening as drinks were more expensive and we dont generally take part in the Entertainments preferring some of the quiet local bars just outside the hotel grounds. Malia the town was not our type of place but is was fine to visit for shopping in the day and far enough away so it didn't disturb us. The hotel is also Eco and Amimal friendly offering you the chance to recycle and giving you a re-usable shopping bag to reduce the use of plastic bags when visiting the shops. To reduce any Greek cat nuisance in the hotel grounds and restaurant, they offer you the chance to feed them in the Cat Cafe just outside the hotel, this gives them the chance to periodically catch them and give them medical attention. All very well organise for both cat lovers and those who don't like them. They also provide beach towels for use in the hotel which saves on packing. All hotel staff helpful and friendly. The early June weather provided hot sun with a warm breeze to keep you cool, sea and pool temperature good not cold. Hotel had mix of German, Dutch, and English guests mostly couples and some families with small children. I would reccomend this hotel but not if you want a wild time then go closer to Malia. We would go back again when I want another sunbathing quiet restfull holiday.
