We visited the Channings in July 2007 and found it to be a warm, friendly, comfortable place. We spent time in the bar, watching the British Open and the staff was extremely cordial and very helpful. The food was excellent and we would highly recommend the Channings to anyone who will be traveling to Edinburgh.. Read review

The staff went out of their way to
be helpful and the room was a good size for a twin.
Liked the cosiness of the little individual seating areas, cheerful and typical atmosphere, very nice building. The very friendly staff, excellent room and good bar. The breakfast was wonderful.
