Very enjoyable stay, friendly staff, good value for money, superb location 5 minutes bus ride from city centre. Lovely memories.

Great for a trip to Murrayfield

I have to say I was pleasently surprised when I checked into the Murrayfield Hotel. From the pictures on the hotel website I was expecting to travel back in time to the 70's but instead my room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. My room had a large double bed, tea & coffee, hairdryer, flat screen tv and a safe in the closet. My bathroom had a bath/shower although as the sink was under the window, the mirror was on the wall to my left! Check in/out was painless enough but I did ask for an early morning call which I never got. All in all, great value for money and given how easy it is to get to, it is definately worth considering this property as opposed to paying much higher prices for the location of lesser quality hotels in the city centre. I would use this hotel again and would advise to book through one of the .com websites for the best price.

Advertised as WiFi in all rooms but had to work in the bar - resturant not available 2 nights of my stay - no blinds in bathroom - no double glazing.

Stone throw to Six Nations

Just came back from the Scotland V France international. This hotel is a stone throw from the stadium. You can see from the Hotel. Haymarket Station is only 10mins walk to the Hotel, and costs just ?1.60 from centre of Edinburgh(Waverly). The hotel staff are all very helpful, but be warned on match days they are very busy, so busy they don't do food apart from in the resturant which only has 10 tables, and was fully booked by the time we'd checked in. Also it is a public bar which plays loud music till closing, 2nd floor is best otherwise its just bass till about one. What food we has was nice, and freshly cooked. I'll be finding something a little more quite next year.
