Fantastic place to stay!!

What a wonderful place to stay!!! I had been to Edinburgh before but this time stayed at the Thistle at 59 Manor place which made the trip even more worth while. Edinburgh is nothing like Switzerland where I come from but my friends and I just loved it. This hotel has definitely the most welcoming staff and atmosphere possible, always on the look out to help the costumer. The rooms are really nicely decorated and believe me my girlfriend is [-] hard to please ! The bar area is just so cool and really nice, excellent place to chill or party...They have the sweetest receptionist ever called Stephanie. Being a family run hotel you can really connect and enjoy your time. Can't wait for the next occasion to go back. Thanks again you guys...

We come from Luxembourg and had never been to Edinburgh before but we were enchanted with our stay in that lovely city and what a surprise when we arrived at that lovely georgian hotel in the center of town, everything was great, the rooms were wonderfuly decorated and very spacious, the pub downstairs was very welcoming and cosy and I can just imagine in winter how the atmosphere must be like with the fire place on. The staff which is run by nearly the whole family was adorable and very helpful with whatever we asked for our stay. The breakfast was very good and we were very happy to have that famous scottish breakfast in the morning and the buffet of croissants was very appetising. What could we say...Just great!! Thank you once again and see you next year thistle hotel manor place!!

spoiled our weekend

stayed at this wouldn't say hotel because it's more a guesthouse last week it has to be the worst place I've ever stayed from the minute we walked in the door i new it wouldn't be great the smell made me ill ,had to carry our heavy cases up 9 flights of stairs nearly passed out at the top,room was ok apart from the broken chair and light over the bed,decided to have our evening meal on the sat nite in the hotel, on there web site they advertise an extensive menu only to be told there was no chef he had left the previous week there was no live music on the Fri nite they never showed up the only good thing about this place was the barman Neil who was also acting as receptionist he was very friendly and advised us where to eat, we should have been told when we arrived there was no food being served i could go on forever about how bad this place is take my advice don't stay here
