We had a nice, big family room for one adult and two children. We could open the window and we had the look to some trees. We could hear any cars, it was very quiet. We had to walk only 10 minutes to the centre, to the main bus station or to the tourist board. There were also a busstop nearby the hotel. The staff was very friendly at reception and when we had breakfast. We had a wonderful time and I would recommend the hotel to friends. The bathroom was small but with bath and all was new and well working.

Great location, quiet clean rooms,friendly staff, Edinburgh hotels are very expensive but this wasn't too bad, although breakfast would have been nice if included in the price.

A group of us stayed here overnight before the Edinburgh marathon. It certainly isn't luxurious, but it's a good budget base in the centre of the city. We managed to find on-street parking, but this wasn't easy. The rooms were clean and adequate - mine had a new bathroom, others had more tired bathrooms. It was clear that the hotel is being refurbished. Breakfast was fine - the usual mix of help-yourself continental and served cooked breakfast. They opened early for continental because of the marathon.

Good basic hotel.If you want a hotel in Edinburgh thats cheap this is the place.Staff friendly , rooms clean. Bar stays open basically as long as you want it to.Location ideal . Would use again.
