The hotel was in an excellent position for exploring all the major sights of Edinburgh, the staff was very friendly and helpful, having made an error in booking my room for the night I was pleased by the way my error was resolved without any fuss or financial penalty. Having served as a junior officer in the regiment I was interested in the memorabilia in the Club premises and hotel staff was really nice. William at reception was utterly charming and helpfull, the room was very good. Breakfasts were fine. . Read review

The room had excellent views over the local private garden and traditional surroundings made me sorry I did not have enough time on my 2 night stay just to sit about. Also the staff were very courteous and helpful, bed was very large and comfortable, breakfast was also good. . Read review

Good location and located in a quiet residential street near a park. Friendly and helpfull stuff, the building is exquisite, close to the old town. The reception staff are lovely - the perfect combination of friendliness and large double room. . Read review
