A staff that are as helpful as Festival Inns must be atrocious! Terrible rules ... MUST LEAVE KEYS Before going out. My Company was paying but nonetheless MY credit card demanded on registration. No temp control on shower so either very very hot or very very hot! Sure that the staircase to the bedrooms cannot pass either building standards or fire regs very steep and narrow. Must give a very bad impression to visitors to Scotland. Basically a noisy pub with some rooms thrown in to boost profits

This is one of the nicest hotels i have stayed in. I arrived at 10 in the morning. We couldn't get into our room at the time but we did check in and came back at t-time. The staff were really helpful and couldn't have done enough for us. The food was really nice. The bed was absolutely massive and really comfy and the room was really clean. The hotel is situated about a half an hour walk from Princes Street however there is a regular bus service which runs and the bus stop is right across the road from the hotel. The bus was really cheap. It was a couple of pounds for a day ticket.
