2This is a decent Travel lodge but certainly not a hotel so far as standard/feature rooms are concerned. Our room was termed a feature room but what the feature was supposed to be;apart from the scaffolding;I've no idea.No comfort, just a low back office type armchair. The only draw space is taken up with tea/coffee acoutrements and PC/laptop paraphenalia. At least the double bed was comfortable on one side.Meagre provisions in the bathroom/toilet with` wartime` toilet paper.Half size sheets are false economy, you need twice as much.Breakfast was adequate but if booking a deal which includes dinner.don't;it's a poor selection for the money and don't forget the added VAT and built-in gratuity which is not included in the package. The deal is for food to the value of ?20 only but you finish up with a bill for another ?8.45 for two..The choice then becomes even more restrictive. The evening waiting staff were superb and a complete contrast to those in the morning.A "Good morning" and a smile would not go amiss. It appears that the lifts serving seven floors sometimes work.Servicing stopover coach tours seems to be a priority which detracts from the service afforded other guests.Again,a contrast between the reception staff on arrival and those on departure. There must I'm sure be better hotels available.
