We have stayed here before and we do know the place and yes it is past its sell by date, but the staff always go out of there way to help us and treat us friendly. The food is excellent as is the service, the rooms are run down, but after all you only need somewhere to sleep when you are here to enjoy yourself. I would take any review with a pinch of salt, your stay is what you make it, see for yourself.

We were booked into this hotel by friends who lived nearby, the room rate was not cheap so expected a very nice stay - HOW WRONG WERE WE??!! When we arrived we were told that we were not booked in (we had booked 3 weeks in advance!) so think we got the worst room of all!!! As if this was not bad enough our sleep was disturbed by fighting in the front hall which turned out to be staff members wearing uniform!!!!!!! so a very nasty place to stay - be warned do not give these people your money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
