Drumnadrochit Hotel - Drumnadrochit, United Kingdom     

So disappointing! This was our third visit to this hotel, and in the past we have always found them to be very polite, hospitable and the hotel to be clean and comfortable. This time however, was a different story. When we checked in, the first room we were given reeked of cigarettes even though it is a non smoking hotel, thankfully the staff member who brought our bags up immediately changed our room. The second room we were given had a terrible drain smell. It was nauseating so we asked to change. The hotel had no other double rooms, and the room they gave us was a twin and the smell of the drains was still present. The staff member said that they couldn't do anything about it because someone was coming to fix the roof the following week. They were aware of the terrible smell yet still sold us the room. Breakfast was very poor, had to ask 3 different people for toast. Although we were given 10 pounds off our rate, we were still expected to pay the other 55 pounds for a smelly damp room with seperate beds. So very dissappointing. One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. My partner paid for the room because I wouldn't have given them a cent for an uncomfortable, smelly, damp sub standard room. Don't waste your money, so many other beautiful places to stay in the Highlands.
